# Synthetic care interview teaching material

Created 18 October 2026 for SAM launch teaching materials. All 12 interview accounts and 24 excerpts are fictional, authored for this guide. They describe general experiences of communication, access and coordination; they are not patient research, NHS findings, medical advice or a validated evaluation dataset. No real participants, clinical histories or demographic profiles are represented.

Each invented interview has two excerpts. `record_id` is the unit for coding; `interview_id` preserves the wider case. Retain both columns. Map `text` as the text field. No dates are supplied because no chronology is being claimed. The codebook is a starter analytical framework; its boundary notes and example IDs are teaching aids. The starter codebook uses SAM's supported label/description columns. Boundary notes and teaching-example IDs are included in each description.

These accounts are separate from SAM's built-in synthetic Endometriosis Diagnostic Delay Pathways event log. They have no shared participants or record linkage. They are also separate from the built-in interview and survey corpora shown in the videos.

The examples are suitable for practising manual coding, codebook revision and source checking. Twenty-four records do not supply the distinct-record evidence needed for SAM's current overall Coding Quality Score. Use the project's displayed method contract for its exact requirements.
